Dear Thyroid,
Why are you still playing games with me? Are you angry that half of you is gone?
Back in 1999 when you started playing your games with me, you were terrible to me! In February of 2000, I had half of you removed! And then you really reared your ugly head!
You have taken so much from me! My energy, my hair, my eyebrows, my mind, and, oh, so much more!
I don’t have to tell you what you have taken!
And what have you given me??
Yes, anxiety, weight and being alone!!
Yes, you even took my marriage from me!! After 33 years!! How dare you!!
I hate you and I wish the other half of you were gone!!
I am going to the doctor tomorrow and I hope she will know what to do with you!! She’s a new doctor, so you may be in big trouble!! I hope she sees you for what you are!!

Jeri, thanks for sharing yourself this way. It’s so important for me (and all of us as fellow members of the thycolony) to know that I’m not the only one who struggles with this fickle little gland. Best wishes for a productive, comforting appointment tomorrow!
I hope you find some relief! Ugh! It can be so depressing but I find my strength in the LORD!

I agree with this not being a site to proselytize. But I’d like to echo Amy that it’s been important for me to accept that all this is part of a plan.
Some days I think s/he could have come up with a better plan, but then I have to ask how many universes have I successfully created? The one’s in my own mind don’t count…..
