DEAR THYROID^TM

Hey there thyrellas and thyfellas! As you know, Dear Thyroid is first and foremost an epistolary series in which we use words and story to share experiences, vent, find catharsis, raise awareness, and connect with other thylicious people. But not everyone always feels comfortable sharing the whole story (or, at least not immediately) and their dialogue with their thyroid. Also, for many people, writing isn’t their first and most comfortable form of personal expression. Because we care about those people too (we’re just good like that), we would like to invite everyone to get involved in our brand new Dear Thyroid Flickr photo pool. This will be a photo sharing group to consist of one topic every month in which you, our lovely readers, email us (dearthyroid@gmail.com) a photo in accordance with the theme. Then, we (Dear Thyroid) post the pictures for everyone to enjoy and, hey, we’ll also end up getting to know each other better. Sounds great right?

When submitting photos, please also provide a caption, describing what the picture is of, and also a brief sentence on what the weekly topic means to you in relation to your provided picture. Make sense? Easy and fun enough? PS: Don’t worry, we will make sure to either accredit the photo to you via your real name, or by any nickname of your choosing.

We’ll announce the topic via Facebook and Twitter and solicit your photos all month long! Starting this Monday, when we reveal the theme, make sure to email us at dearthyroid@gmail.com.
