Kathleen Taylor Up at 2:30 this morning; so disoriented, I could not figure out where I was. Who was that other person in the bed?! I could not find my way out of the bedroom. It was like the power was off! I could not see a thing. I felt like I was blind. Did I have a bad dream or something? By the time I found the doorknob and got out of the bedroom, I was in a panic state. What the hell?! Wheezing up a storm for days now, and have been using my inhaler. It’s not helping. I cannot stand the thought of having to go on Prednisone. Why the heck am I wheezing?! Levothyroxine and Atenolol for BP is not a good combo. I have been up since 2:30 and have to be at work until 9:00 tonight on a teleconference. I had to come home and try to take a nap so that I can go back and be awake. This is going to be a bad cycle. Bleah!

Billie Jean Doty I was up @ 2:30 yesterday am — got up, disoriented, same old, same old… sound like a croaking frog and swallowing around that golf ball in my throat; but since my TSH is “normal” (2.94,WTF?) doc says all is well…

Laura Chen Tough week, no tough month! Feel like crap! I’m sure I look like crap! Can’t get out of bed before noon! Want to do stuff, can’t! No desire to even put on makeup!,  Ugh! Do I double my meds now, lets see if that will work, or do I just stop them all just like Oprah!? Oh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The world can’t see me like this! Someone, somebody, something HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amy Elizabeth Parker My sister got some lab results… free t3 is out of range. She see her (and my) doc in two weeks for discussion. First me and now her. Poor dear! Makes sense with some of her symptoms but it SUCKS!

Manda Richardson I have Hashi’s and my doc’s now diagnosed Fibromyalgia and M.E. but I’m worried it’s a cover-up! And think the problem may still be thyroid / adrenals and will just be overlooked now with the Fibro diagnosis to explain away all my ongoing symptoms. Grrrrrr.

Lori Caprio Callahan I have Hashi’s also and over the last 7+ yrs I have been diagnosed with Polyneurpathy in both legs, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome in both legs, Narcolepsy, OSA, and Fibromyalgia. ALL symptoms of all these diagnoses are improving dramatically as my thyroid is coming under control. They wanted to implant a neurostimulator device in my back to control the pain. I said no, I knew it could all be explained by something, I just didn’t know what but I was going to find it.   Then they thought I was crazy. HOW can medicine be so STUPID — ALL of it is related or dramatically worsened by my thyroid. I changed my profile pic to a dancing pig today to celebrate the medication that I believe will my answer. I’m just beginning to feel awake today!!! I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!!!

Natasha Kahn Why is it so hard to get a doctor’s appointment? When I last saw my endocrinologist she said to make an appt in 12 weeks. My next appt is 12/10. Something has come up at work that I can’t miss that day. When I called to re-schedule the appt they could only give me Jan 21 as the soonest appt. January! My endo is only at this office on Thursdays and my insurance won’t cover me seeing her at other offices. I don’t want to wait 4 months before seeing my endo because things are not going spectacularly. My choices are: miss something important at work or wait until January. It’s so frustrating! Why is it so hard to get seen by a doctor?!?! >:

Joyce Jordan Corley I had insomnia for 2 months. Yesterday my body decided that it had had enough and is now going the opposite direction. I am exhausted. I guess now my body is going to try to make up for the lack of sleep. Can there be any in between?

Annie Rz Oh- Oh- feeling low… I woke with a migraine headache and upset stomach this morning.   This year is crazy teaching 648 elementary students per week all come with their own sets of problems! NO WAY was I going to make it to school. I called for a substitute and was able to get a few things done that I have been putting off (telephone calls/bank run and groceries).   So now I can relax for the weekend and the headache is gone! I took a 40-minute HOT shower this morning!!

Diane Fama So had a night with the girls and we got to talking about hypothyroidism and my journey – and then I thought I was finally getting through to one of them. I explain how I don’t have a thyroid and I have to take natural dissected thyroid meds and I explained my body needs t1, 2, 3, 4 and Calctonin and I explained my adrenal fatigue and how there were days I could not do anything, to where I got the response — “oh I have days like that and it’s really just mind over matter and if you do that you will be fine”.   I got so exasperated and I looked at her and I said, “do you understand if I don’t take the right medicine I will DIE that everything shuts done, not in a week but it will happen?” I still think she doesn’t get it.
