Thykulicious Thykus by Mike Wilson
Hole inside my neck
You were here and now you’re gone
Hole inside my heart
Thyroid will you give
Hearty health and energy?
You ask far too much.
In all my cells are
Ribosomes that make power.
They are not turned on.
Happiness is a
Butterfly on rose petals
And not a windshield.
Ihavegraves’disease
Heatedsweatyracingthoughts
Ineedtoslowdown
In my dream there was
A surgeon to excise it
He cut my head off
(Bio) Mike has the nobody-knows-why-type of hypothyroidism for at least the last 9.5 years. He’s only 36 now, but feels 63.

Wow. Powerful. Thank you for sharing that.
I can so relate to this, another good Thyku Mike.
That last one had me thinking Alice In Wonderland–“Off with his head!” Great group of poems again, Mike!
your thoughts kind of gel with the mood of the weather today- good day for contemplation—-or a nap!!! too bad I have to work for a living…
