Anastasia Smith, one of our Thyrellas, shared her experience of Graves Disease and the holidays over at The Sister’s Project. Being a college student, her ability to deal with Graves’ disease and the choices she’s made are pretty remarkable, as are all of the choices each of us has made for ourselves as patients.

Anastasia is a great writer, a lovely dame and a good soul, the kind of person you just want in your life. She writes about how involved with her wellness her family has become and how that, among other things, such as her disease have informed her adult life.

In her post, Anastasia also discusses nutritional choices she’s made, dispels misconceptions, and her radical decision as a course of treatment and subsequent lack of support from the medical community as a result.

I encourage you to check out Anastasia’s beautiful post: Thyoliday Blues and Truths, Anastasia Smith
