Tammy Wynette had Stand by your Man; thanks to Robyn Davis Hahn (Hashimoto’s Patient), we have “Stand By Your Gland!

Sometimes its hard to be a patient
Giving all your thoughts to just one gland.
You’ll have bad times and it’ll have good times
Doing things that you don’t understand.

But if you love it you’ll forgive it
Even though it’s hard to understand.
And if you love it, oh be proud of it
‘Cause after all it’s just a gland.

Stand by your gland
Give it a throat to cling to
And something warm to come to
When nights are cold and lonely.

Stand by your gland
And tell the world you love it
Keep giving all the love you can
Stand by your gland.

Stand by your gland
And show the world you love it
Keep giving all the love you can
Stand by your gland!

Whether you have Hashimoto’s disease, thyroid disease or no disease, a humorous tune puts pep in our step! Share your thoughts with Robyn and if you have a tune or rhyme to spin send it along or leave it in the comments section.

    ROFLMAO!!!! Ok, so I don’t have Graves’ Disease—I’m a Hashi’s girl…………..but—-it doesn’t matter!

What a universal song for all of us to sing! Awesome job, Lolly!!!!xxxxoooo

  2. Cyndi Woodruff says:

Oops!! Well, Robyn—-incredible job, girlfriend!!! You wrote a ‘song’ that applies to all thysisters/thyfellows in arms!!! It’s great!!!!

  3. Robyn says:

Thanks Cyndi. Lolly wrote one too, which I can’t find anymore, which led to the confusion.

I’m not kidding that almost every old timey country song can be converted into a song about our thyroids. It’s becoming this comical hobby for me!

    Hashimoto’s YO!

  4. Heather says:

Robyn, thanks for posting this on this nasty rainy morning. It gave me a much needed laugh!!

  5. Cyndi – So sorry for the error. Isn’t this song fantastic?! Love it, so funny…

  6. Heather – Sorry the weather is so bad by you, so glad you had a good laugh, though! Robyn really knows how to spin a tune.

    We were rolling.

  7. Lolly says:

    Robyn,

Great Thytune I know Katie mixed up somehow but never mind we have to stand by our gland.

    Love it.

    Lollyx

  8. Lolly;

Such a great sport you are. both STAND BY YOUR GLAND’S rock. You and Robyn are the tune queens.

Loved Robyn’s version and yours, to be shared tomorrow.

    xo

  9. Lolly says:

    Katie,

    Don’t worry about it,
No more I-tunes there Thy-tunes you can download them to your thy-pod and when them birds are annoying the hell out of you, just drift off into oblivion.

Love Robyns version too she Rocks there are so many songs that can be changed, into a great Thy-tune.

Funny how we wrote them seperatly yet they are so similar I guess great THY’s think alike.

    Lolly

  10. Totally agreed, Lollylicious!

The two of you are thytune queens, I’m telling you. We need to cut an album. How thylicious would that be?!

    xo

  11. Kristen says:

That is awesome. It totally cracked me up!!

  12. Right, Kristen? On the floor howling from this, needed the laugh!

  13. Robyn says:

    I am jones-ing for Lolly’s encore tomorrow!

  14. Robyn;

You and Lolly are the tune queens. We are so releasing a CD. Not sure how yet, but we’ll thynd a way. Ha.

You both rocked STAND BY YOUR GLAND!

    xo

  15. Joanna says:

What a riot! I LOVE IT!

  16. So glad you loved it, Joanna! I thought it was hilarsquared, too.

  17. Lolly says:

Well Miss Katie if you think your getting away with not singing think on you and Bee are backing singers with Liz.

Robyn now do forgive my ignorance I can be when I want to be, but what does jones-ing mean?

  18. Robyn says:

    From the Urban Dictionary:
jonesing: to have a strong need, desire, or craving for something.
I’m guessing it’s just on this side of the pond!
