    1. “Dear Thyroid” is about realizing you are not alone as you battle the ups an downs of any and all thyroid disorders. It’s about laughing at our demons!

2.”Dear Thyroid” is different from other thyroid web-sites because I’ve actually heard about it. (It’s the only one I visit…)

    3. If I could change anything about the web-site? It would be interesting to have to register so you could make a profile for yourself, then others could search it. We could learn more about each other, post pictures even!

It’s like Solent Green – it’s people! Thylicious babes and dudes coming together with one common thyproblem.

What makes Dear Thyroid different from other thyroid oriented websites?
Community Involvement – Where else can you submit an angry letter to any other organ in your body? You get support to boot!

If you could add, make suggestions or change anything about Dear Thyroid, what would it be and why?

And, and, and, WHAT A GREAT IDEA regarding profiles. I love it. Hmm. Going to have to add that to the next gen list, too. I hope we can achieve that. Brilliant idea. We can get to know each other better.

  9. HypoG, J’adore this Where else can you submit an angry letter to any other organ in your body? You get support to boot!

  10. Christine says:

What is the Dear Thyroid Brand about?
It is a special kind of thyroid outreach, it is a place of honesty and keeping it real, whether that means it is LOUD and in your FACE, ANGRY, PISSED OFF, FED UP! or gently rambunctious and ALWAYS supportive (here is you THYOOP-THYOOP!!) It is here where we are THYFABULOUS! 😉

What makes Dear Thyroid different from other thyroid oriented websites?

It is a community that exists here, ever growing, learning and supporting of one another. There is no “right” or “wrong” attitude or answer here, it is about all of us – collectively!

If you could add, make suggestions or change anything about Dear Thyroid, what would it be and why?
I love and adore this place and count myself lucky for having stumbled my way here. 🙂
    As a suggestion, as I know there have been moments where I would have loved to get immediate feedback on something, but didn’t want to take away from the discussion happening on the post of the day/in the comments etc;
Maybe a “Open Mic” post that appears once a week – that allows within the comments – a sound off – or a place for questions to the community… “I am feeling this way – anyone else?” or “HELP I need laughter – someone crack a funny!” or “Doc prescribed this med, did you like it?” or simply “thylicious sistas and bro – just a shout out to say Hi!” A once a week melting pot of the community and questions, concerns or comments that each may have and a place to get immediate input.

Ready; Glands a’steady; or not; GO…. I went! I went! and is a unsteady gland day – but I’m hangin! 😉

  11. Siobhan Rutherford says:

The butterfly gland is so complicated that is has more complex issues that we can occur than we may even be aware of. Thanks to Dear Thyroid and the blogs that are listed, as a information network, and network of people who care and want to help others succeed with their syndromes, your website makes it available! Besides The drs don’t always know everything, just listen to how many people get treated just by reading, as humans, we are helping others!

  12. Bee says:

1)DT brand-being “branded” with DT info are identifying marks linking us all together to encourage us to take ownership of our disease

    2) difference-the wise decision to keep politics and religion as off-limit topics creating ONE common bond among all involved here

3)nothing you can do for me personally unless you can figure out a way for me to find my way back here on a more regular basis. Topics are changing so fast that by the time I ponder a good response, write said response, and post response, you’re on to another topic—thus, some of my posts go unnoticed and I miss the feedback—I’ll blame it on the Hypo mush brain

  13. Shan says:

DT is one for all and all for one, and hello new person, tell us, oh darlin, you’re welcome and we know, we feel it too and here are some helpful clues in your struggle, its ok, we’re still here and we love you.

Some others are giving you ‘here’s the new recipe for feeling good, so hand over your money and you’ll have the secret. Give me a break, how gullible do you think I am? I have DT, I don’t need your twaddle!

We can’t be more, because each of us is perfectly being what we are and it all falls into place to provide just what we need when we need it. Its the extremely incompetent, ignorant, arrogant medical professionals (not the good ones bless them, though I haven’t found one yet) that throw a spanner in our works, and woh! DT’ers, we must just let rip with how we feel about that!

Love the friends I’ve made through DT to share our other highs and lows quite apart from our thyroids and DT. Love the insights and humor, and sharing and the knowing. Thank you all of you.

    1. What is the Dear Thyroid Brand about?a community of fellow thyroidians who are in the same leaky boat.
    2. What makes Dear Thyroid different from other thyroid oriented websites? you can voice your anger & frustration without someone poo-pooing (ie: you’re a female & females are too emotional to take seriously about anything they complain about)your problems & distress.
    3. If you could add, make suggestions or change anything about Dear Thyroid, what would it be and why?so far, so good!

  15. Lolly says:

    1. What is the Dear Thyroid Brand about?
For me it’s a way of just being yourself no matter how you feel sharing your good times and bad and getting great info and swapping Ideas and research. It’a thyumminity of caring sharing peeps who bring along a sense of humour and a sense og being.
2.What makes Dear Thyroid different from other thyroid oriented websites?
For one I allowed to cuss I can be open about my feeling and politics and religeon are a no-no. we donlt have dictators like some of the fporums one in particular watching what you say.
If you could add, make suggestions or change anything about Dear Thyroid, what would it be and why?

I would like to see some of the posts for that month stay on the heading longer at present it is only 4 and they tend to get lost and not replied too.
I like Christine’s suggestion I still don’t feel i know everyone on here and it would be a way of getting to know someone a little better. And yes get rid of the ugly icons they do nothing for my pin-up image.

  16. Donna Hitt says:

    1. Dear thyroid Brand is about a place where we can all “meet” and compare notes, receive and give support, and to feel connected with many others in the same boat!

    2. The difference is not only is it informative, but it makes you smile(even when you don’t want to.)

    3. I just found the site and there isn’t anything I see that needs to be changed or added!!! I love it!!
