Right to the point, I like it!!!
Agreed, S! Mike writes very pointedly to his thyroid, and often. We adore him to bits around these parts. Sure wish he wasn’t feeling so awful.
Mike, I LOVE reading each and every letter/thyku you write. Of course, I wish you didn’t have to write to your thyroid.
I love this letter as much as your others. You get right to the point without holding back. Perfect.
xoxo,
Joanna
Mike, you have a real grasp on how I feel too. Sometimes saying less says more and you did that perfectly with this letter! Thanks!!!!
Mike, we can all relate. You get tired of being tired, sick of being sick and then to the point of not caring one way or the other. For me the most devasting part was losing interest in my own child which is the most awful feeling ever and makes me boo hoo because he deserves better. I hope you are trying to put all the pieces together and take this attitude with you to the doctor. Let it rip, sometimes that is all they understand. Thank you for sharing and good luck fighting the good fight!
Joanna, beautifully said. I agree, he gets right to the point.

Linda – I LOVE WHAT YOU WROTE, you’re write, sometimes less is way more expressive.
Great advice, DAT, you’re right! I sure wish you hadn’t felt that way because it’s one of the worst feelings ever.
We do get so sick and tired of feeling sick. And, though not the right choice, I wonder how many of us dwell in that place because we’re afraid we’ll never reclaim ourselves again.
Wonderful show of support. Excellent points.

even though I never feel like it, I find exercising everyday is great for my mental health. kinda clears the head, and raises endorphins or whatever, get that runner’s high I think they call it. I dunno, it makes me feel better when I feel like shit.
Don’t give up, giving up is way too easy.
Dear Michael’s Thyroid – leave him the fuck alone already!
Hi Michael,
I probably shouldn’t say this, but the sarcastic tone of your letter did make me smile. On the other hand, it makes me sad that so many of us should feel this way and be led to despair because it seems there is no other option. I know what it feels like to spend all day in bed and it can really frustrate a person and make them feel quite hopeless.
I am so sorry you are feeling this way. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you and I sincerely hope your situation improves really soon!
Love,
Sarah
Sending out the love and strength today! Sorry its a rough one.

MIKE- it sounds like u need to latch on to one of my fav sayings when i’m feeling down in the dumps (which can be quite often with this f’d up gland) so i’m going to let you share it with me:
“Life’s a shit sandwich and everyday’s another bite”.
sometimes just saying this out loud makes me laugh
Great honest poetry!

Hay Mike you took the word right out of my mouth. Thanks for saying what all of us have felt at one time or another!
OOOOH! not really funny, but it reminds me of the feeling of early pregnancy when the alien being starts to take over, making you tired, dizzy, sick etc. We’re similarly posessed by our glands! Alien suckers!
