If you didn’t get your rant or rave in for the week, please do, in comments. We’d love it if you’d consider answering the question today about your former self. Any resources or tips you have for some of our thylicious community members, we hope you’ll share. Every time, we connect on DearThyroid.org, I am astounded by how much I learn. I certainly hope that youse feel the same way.

Gland morning! Got any THYRANTS or THYRAVES for me?

SC:  Mornin all. I physically, mentally and emotionally despise my doctor. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I let him have it yesterday, as he doesn’t take anything under consideration, and told him I wish he had my body for a month, as a day or week wouldn’t make him see nothing. My thyroid levels are still way too low, so he upped the meds again. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I just wish he would stop playing games with me. He knows I hate it when he pulls his crud on me, and he knows I will walk out on him. If it weren’t for my needing a shot yesterday, I would have walked out.

SMB: Sorry “S”. I think most of us know how that goes. My doctors seem more concerned with lab results than how I actually feel.

GMT: I actually had a great endo appt yesterday. We discussed all the changes I’m going through as I prepare for my radiation treatment in late august early September. he apologized for all the insanity I will have to go through till then but said once it was over with we would do our best to get me hormonally back on track. He also told my hubby and me that as long as I stay cancer free we can look into having another child next year which has been our goal for years. That was such great news. I am feeling much better than I have been. I’m 10 days post op and in a great deal of pain still but we were told by the surgeon yesterday that there were many more issues than they were prepared for in my surgery and that I should expect pain for a while and to just continue with pain management that it will be a few weeks before it starts to go away. Overall I am in a much better place today than I have been since my surgery. we go to pick up our 7 yr old son today, we haven’t seen him for two weeks, I can’t wait I miss my sidekick so much, so things are looking up…

CKP: I am just going to wear a flashing neon sign from now on that says, “No. It is NOT a trach scar!”

Good morning! This AM’s question “When you think about your former self, do you…”

LBR: ‎…long for all of that energy and the smaller dress size, but try to make the best out of what I am today! 🙂

SDJ: Miss the old physical being!!

PAG: I miss the old me and I want her back!

KC: long for the energy I had….but only if I can know then, what I know now. Boy how things would have been different!

TP: I see how unhealthy I really was and now see what I need to do to fix that.

LA:  I liked being skinny…lol. Seriously I liked being skinny and not being so damn emotional. Not having to wait in a Dr’s office for two hours for a5min consultation. ENGERGY!!!!

Stay tuned, we have a super guest blogger today, thyroid patient and advocate, Ali Jagger posting today, thanks to Sarah Downing!

Miss me when I was truly me. The “Graves me” is not the real me, this is not me at all. I know the real me, and she is going to kick the “Graves me” in the ass. Some days the battle is harder than others, but knowing that I know this is not the real me makes me fight this Graves even harder.
