Marvelous Meet-Ups
Good Afternoon Everyone!!
Today, Dear Thyroid held a Meet – Up in Los Angeles, and we are looking forward to hearing about how it went. We will have information about the LA Meet – Up soon!
The Dear Thyroid Meet – Ups are incredibly important because it gives the members of Dear Thyroid to connect, share stories, discuss struggles, celebrate successes, and offer support to one another. So many members in our Dear Thyroid community have been through so much, that we can all learn from one another. It is through these experiences that lessons are learned, taught, and shared. In our community, our global community, we are able to connect with our thy sisters and brothers across the globe daily and that is awesome!! We are also fortunate enough to be able to get together in our various cities and have local conversations and meet face to face and then share those stories with the rest of our members!!
So far we have another Meet – Up schedule for August 18 in Pittsburgh and we are thrilled about that. Let’s all get together to host more Meet – Ups in other cities. We are very close to scheduling Meet – Ups in:
- Ohio
- Atlanta
- Chicago
- Florida
- Pittsburgh
So, please look for information regarding that and let us know if you’d like to participate in any of those cities.
If you have other ideas or want to host a Meet – Up in another city, please email me. Let’s get these going., so that we cannot only continue to support to each other, but also continue to raise awareness for Thyroid diseases and cancer!
You guys are an incredible group of people, brave and strong everyday! We will continue to do that both online and in person!

In November, Corey and I will be visiting my parents in the UK (Hull), so we’ll be scheduling a UK meet-up for our UK DT-ers. Look forward to meeting you guys!

That’s great. Please let us know the date/time/location, so we can schedule it on the DT calendar, maybe 3 weeks in advanec? We’d like to give our other community members an opportunity to join the Dear Thyroid meet-up.

I will, but I’m going to check with those interested first what date would suit them and then set a date based on that. A couple of people have expressed interest, but it’s best if I let you know in November because anything can happen between now and then.

Of course. If you can please let Kerri know, say, 3 weeks in advance and extend your contact info to her, and anyone else who is attending that would be great. She sends group emails to everyone who is attending. We’ll also put it on the DT calendar and invite others to join.
