I Hear You Butterfly, written by Lori Callahan. Lori is one of the original members of Dear Thyroid, and this was her FIRST LETTER. Wow, was it a doozy. She chronicled her medical history with Hashimoto’s, misdiagnosis, and paired with her fighting spirit, quiet sorrow. A truly beautiful read.

Excerpt: “Dear Thyroid, I’ve never thought it was your fault for any of what has happened, you were trying so hard to tell me you needed help.  I want you to know that we are still a team and I am going to continue to fight for us!  I have a husband who now “gets it”, and with my DT thyamily who I have come to love dearly, I can get through anything!”

Fat Thigh-roid Woes: The Long Walk…Off a Short Cliff, another flawless installation by Nicole Wells. Irreverent – honest – funny and informative. “Trust your gut”

Excerpt: “If something about your doctor, or his/her advice seems off…take it into consideration.  Trust your instincts.  Put more trust in YOU knowing your body better than anyone else.  Of course, some of you may have amazing doctors that you fully trust, so consider yourselves very lucky.”

If you haven’t read it, please do. You will absolutely love it! Be sure to leave a note for Nicole in comments.
