Invisible Illness week is next week! Kerri had a wonderful idea for us, something literary that we can all participate in; in honor of INVISIBLE ILLNESS WEEK, Acrostic Poetry.

Using the word invisible, take each letter and write your description of what being invisible feels like for you. How your perceived. Rather, not perceived because you are… invisible. Submit all acrostic poems to Katie. Our goal is to publish as many acrostic poems during Invisible Illness Week as possible. Start writing and start submitting.

We’re also requesting that you tell 5 people you know or don’t know about your illness. Please write down their reactions to your statement and submit it, so we can post it. We want to spread awareness for invisible illness and we want to educate as many folks about our thyroid diseases and cancers as possible. Yes? Yes.

Finally, if you have any additional ideas for IIW, please let us know in comments or by contacting us via email. Let’s make IIW a remarkable, healing and educational week that invokes change.

Love,

Dear Thyroid
