Invisible Illness Week, Acrostic Poem, By Jill
I – irreplacable moments in time lost forever, without an external care
N – “normalcy” lost, never able to properly express the thoughts or emotions that now consume me
I – inconsolable
S – scared of what I am becoming, what I have lost within myself
I – internal struggle for self worth and individual purpose
B – bewildered by the nightmare I now live in, where I am disregarded and looked down on by those I turn to for help
L – life -mine- seems to continue on without me as if I am watching it play out in a movie
E – energized for a fight till the end to bring me back to me AND BE SEEN for who I am and what I have accomplished so invisibly

Great poem but can I just point out that you missed out the “V” in Invisible other than that beautiful and so true.
Thanks Lolly! I don’t know where the hell my V went to, brings a whole new meaning to the term invisible. LOL. It was there when I wrote it by hand – V is for vulnerable.
I must have skipped it when typing into email. Thanks for catching it.
I have to laugh becuase I am just so damn scattered.
Easy done Jill I checked mine fook knows how many times before I submitted it, no doubt i have made some mistakes but that’s why we thypeep can get away with it put it all down to the thryoid or lack of it.
“V” could also be for the victory sign when you kick thyroid ass or “V” for the two finger salute we do in the UK Means “FO”.Often done that as I walk out yet another drs office unhappy.
Ask Katie if she can insert it for you, that way it will not be invisible anymore.
