It crept up on me, like a thief in the night

Not only effecting my well being, also my sight

Visually impaired, weight loss, palpitations

I wonder, would I’ve needed hospitalisation.

Sent to the Endocrimologist to treat this disease

I’m only thankful I’m not paying extortionate fees

Blood tests taken at least every 6 to 8 weeks

Let’s hope I become stable after this last tweak

Educate, advocate and not forgetting to defecate.

    Lovely poem!

Love the “endoCRIMEologist” part — that’s inspired. I can picture it: gland theft and “extortionate” fees being investigated by a endoCRIMOlogist. So funny!

    Thanks for sharing,

    Lolly,

I love the words, all of them. Tweak is the perfect word… My dictionary has this definition first: To pinch, pluck, or twist sharply….. That is exactly what my current med tweak has done to me.
