Acrostic Poem for Invisible Illness Week, Written by Donna
I am still me, even if in the last 5 years I have not looked like whom I feel inside.
Never do I go a day without missing my mane.
Very appreciative I am, of people who have said simply, “I’m sorry.”
I have not forgiven a couple of doctors who treated me with great disrespect.
Sad, so sad I was for a while.
I feel better at the moment.
But I hope for the future.
Love and concern is what I ask from everyone.
Everyone.
