My Current Misery, Thyku by Mike Wilson
Fingernails please stop
Growing at atomic rates
Thyroid is to blame
Cut my toenails, but
Come the morning I will walk
Clicking on the floor
Sister can’t grow nails
Mine are long and hard as steel
Jealousy could kill

Mike is 37 years old and was diagnosed with nobody-knows-why hypothyoidism more than 10 years ago. He’s the only guy he knows with this disease. @MindStatic

Mike,
Great Thyku! My nails are a broken up mess since my Graves Disease kicked in. I keep trying to remember to research it.

I’d say Mike nailed it with these thykus. Hats off!
Love the thykus!
Great poem and I know of several men with thyroid disease. My brothers are all hypo and I’m hyper and a friend who is an attorney has GD like me and a few I met on daily strength. So yo are not alone Male wise. Mary
