Every Survivor Has A Message For You
Dear… You:
Here we are again… Why does this seem closer to home then I would like? I always love the statement “You’re such a gift, such a miracle such a (fill in your favorite compliment).”
Why…? What have I done so spectacular? I listen to the doctors…..? Take my pills? Wow… How “SPECTACULAR”, I can take orders. Am I really the lucky one and the brave one….?
In my view those have paved the way before me are the real superstars. They are the ones that like me have stepped up and faced death in the eyes.
Me, I have been able to run for now. Maybe that makes me the coward? These others before me have been in there life, only to have death knock on the door of their reality; to come for them. Do they run? Not anymore. They accept the reality and move forward, to the next arena of existence. Maybe, really, victory is not in surviving, but moving on from this.
With every knock on the door, I wonder if death is waiting for me on the other side. Maybe not this time, but rest assured death comes for all of us.

Rich was such a beautiful soul and still touching people to this day. I am just me the real fighters are the ones who have paved the way before us.
