From Here to Cancernity
Dear Thyroid Community:
Well my doctors found another issue and wanted to explore what it was with my thyroid. As if the possibility of having to face another thyroid diagnosis comes easily. I have to admit, I was scared! Again, I found so much strength in my family and friends.
Which brings me to my next issue — I asked myself if “I passed tomorrow would I have really impacted life the way I should have”. I would have to say to say no.
Having met so many thyroid cancer and other types of cancer survivors, it is so strange to me how people find me as a beacon of hope. I am able to help them cope with their situation and find love and acceptance in it.
I have decided that the time has come for me to stop using my gifts for my own self serving needs and move on to a point where I am serving the needs of the greater good for all people having to deal with the nightmares of cancer and thyroid disease.
I have made the choice now to serve the greater good and become even more of an activist in this nightmare.
If someone manages to find strength in my story or find hope in my spending time with them, then I feel it my duty to pay it forward to every other woman and man or child alike. To do any less I would have to call my life a failure.
Are you willing to stand up with me where can we all make a difference?
Every Survivor

I think it only makes sense if we use what we have “suffered” with to teach others, help others. I selfishly enjoy the little bit that I do to try to help other thyroid patients.
