      FOREVER MISSING YOU

I did not know how important you were until you stopped working. Without my knowledge or consent, you were attacked by my body until finally you did not function anymore. My body needed you but attacked you not thinking about how important you were. I was left with this body that is forever missing you! I am reminded everyday of your absence when I take my pills, feel cold, tired, confused, or can not remember something. I am only 37 but feel 57. I was left with this body that still needs you! The pills that I take every day can never replace you. You were only one part of my body but was so important controlling my metabolism and hormones. My life has never been the same since you are gone. I have learned to live without you not by choice but necessity. My body remains forever missing you!

You were sick and needed to free so I could too… Thank you

I miss you in all your beautiful functioning glory! I wish you didn’t have to leave, but you got cancer and had to go! Now I miss you more than ever. I was told by so many people, that you would not be missed as long as I took a pill everyday. What a bunch of LIARS!! Now my life is not the same without you!

Dear My Not so Funny Valentine

A year ago, I would not have dreamed that we would be separated on this day.You were always there for me, assuring that I would feel good during every day. I never had to think of taking a sweater, or wearing a coat and hat on cool days. You took care of that. If I got cold, you turned up the thermostat. If I got hot, you turned on the cooling system. I know that you can get tired of doing the same old job day after day. So, you decided to take a vacation. Cannot blame you for that. But, I never dreamed that the reason you chose to get out of doing your job would be so insidious. You see being sneaky was just not one of your traits. So what did you do, you decided to invent the mother of all diseases (cancer) to get you off the hook. Couldn’t you have been a little more creative though? I mean, I would have been acceptable to something a little less threatening. Honest I would have. Well, you sure put me in a fine position. I now have to take a little pill for the rest of my life. But, first I have to find one that does the same job that you did so easily.I will find the correct one, and I will do all of the things that I should do to feel the same as if you were still here. And, one day I will think back and compare. And, in my comparison, I will think, hmmm perhaps I gave you too much credit. Because now, I am feeling just fine. Some days, I am feeling even better. I am glad that you decided to take a vacation, because with it you took something that I didn’ want anyway. No love lost.
