CBC Radio “White Coat, Black Art: Breaking up Show”. This doctor is SUPER AMAZING, to be sure. His interview with Melissa Travis is stellar. In addition, there is a great discussion with doctors and patients. Talk about a beautiful, insightful way to bridge the gap. This is a big, screaming, raging WOW.

Listen! You’ll love it.

“All relationships have their ups and downs, and not every doctor-patient relationship is a marriage made in heaven. In medical school, they teach us the proper technique for firing patients. But there’s nothing on the curriculum about what to do when patients fire us.

This week, two GPs share paintful experiences of being given the pink slip by patients when they least expected it. A patient advocate and social scientist dishes her techniques for giving doctors the heave-ho. We also show how patients and doctors can repair a health care relationship gone wrong. A doctor from the States tells how he took a bad online review from a patient to make his practice better.

Our show airs Saturday at 11 am (11:30 am NT) and again on Monday at 11:30 am (3:30 pm NT) on CBC Radio One.
