Dear Thyroid,

Thanks for nothing!

Thank you for not going too happy happy joy joy and keeping me up at night.

Thank you for not going too Crybaby Sally on me and keeping me in bed all day.

Thank you for not messing with my brain, and allowing it to stay sharp during a prolonged time when it really needs to be so.

Thank you for not doing anything other than sitting there and taking your medicine, and secretly growing nodules (you can’t fool me).

And most of all… even though you most certainly can… thank you for not doing all the things that have knocked me on my ass and kicked me when I’m down like switching to Daylight Savings Time has done.

Thank you for joining me in cursing at the clock with a mouth so foul it would make a sailor squirm.

As a reward, you’ll get cake tomorrow!  (Yay!  Cake!)

I love that this is a thank you note opposed to hate mail. (Yay! Cake!)

    I wish I had a thyroid to thank! ;p
