New literary contest at Dear Thyroid, courtesy of the lovely and talented, Linda Jones. Aside from being a dear friend and confidant, someone I adore deeply, Linda is a gifted artisan. She’s crafted a bag just for us. How generous is this dame? INCREDIBLY.
Before we share Linda’s bio, let’s discuss the contest. Butterflies play a huge role in our lives, fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you view your relationship with your thyroid or thyroidectomized self.

(About Linda Jones) I am an art teacher, a mom of awesome fully realized adults, love my work, adore my grand grand grand babies– look forward to increasing art when I retire. Who knows. Starting to be open to the possibilities of retirement rather than the fear of it. Hoping for loft living in tiny Midwestern town, have a studio, maybe a co-working space…..where youngest grand boys can walk home to after school while parents are setting the world on fire.

Linda I want to thank you so much for this beautiful bag..Not sure why winner wasn’t announced sorry ladies I won, but i am not sorry for having this magnificent bag..let me tell you a story and why I think it was meant to come my way..only recently had devastating news that my ex hubby had passed away suddenly while out in Jamaica..Our daughter Michelle wanted me to be with her and her half sister to be there with them and I was it was hard but something saw me through it..I was able to take this bag with me, it felt right I carried it to the beach when I went swimming in the sea I can’t tolerate the heat so just to get in and cool down and be able to carry all my stuff in this bag which was admired by everyone they all wanted to know where I got it from and I was so proud to say where and who had made it..I will treasure it.
