Twenty-First Entry: Thyroid Literary Contest – Three Words of Encouragement
Belong – I belong. I am not alone. I belong to humanity where I am accepted and not judged.
Comforted – I am comforted knowing other people like me share the same concerns about their symptoms.
Thankful – I am thankful to live in a time and space where my thryroid condition is understood. Others before me were not so lucky.
Willing – I am willing to help others through example, education or by listening to their concerns, sadness, and insecurities about what they are going through with their thyroid condition.
