Twenty-Fourth Entry: Thyroid Literary Contest – Three Words of Encouragement
I have faith
I am not 100% and most likely will never be. Life without a thyroid is a complex dance. You learn to live with the low energy, brain fog and the sore body. You learn to let go of the remarks of “you don’t look sick” and “but you didn’t have a bad cancer” You just have to say “Damn it, I’m still here and I’m still me. I will live my life to the fullest that I am able with my heart opened to love and happiness!”

You go through so many emotions at any given time when you do not have a thyroid. No matter how much medicine you are on it is never the same. You have good days and bad days. I feel for you and your words are spoken true. I have faith that you will win this breathtaking picture for you to be able to get up every day and see that life is out there. Treasure each day, each moment the next is never guaranteed.
