Liz Schau

liz-schauLiz Schau: Editor, Nutritional Health. Column: HOW TO KICK YOUR THYROID’S ASS

Liz is a writer whose focus is in nutrition, health, and natural and green living. She’s a bit of a health nut (but maybe that’s an understatement), a used book collector, a social crit- and poetry-reading feminist, who takes a from-the-ground approach to life and wellness. She also has Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, but don’t worry — she’s working hard at kicking its ass (and writes the Dear Thyroid column by the same name). Liz lives in Sarasota, FL with her two cats and her shelves and shelves of old worn-out books for company.

Liz is the Tampa Bay Gluten-Free Examiner guide on Examiner.com, where she writes about living a gluten-free lifestyle. She is also the resident “GreenGirl” and writes an ongoing column on Green Living for hangPROUD.com, a website dedicated to raising self-esteem in girls and women of all ages and encouraging them to make a difference in each other lives and communities. You can read some more of Liz’s work on Dove’s Campaign for Beauty website, “Finding Beauty in Legacy and Lineage”.

Liz can be reached at Liz@DearThyroid.org

Liz’s column “How to Kick your Thyroid’s Ass” is published every Sunday.
