We wrote about Dr. Myhill’s horrific situation and why it’s so important that we all get involved in ending the witch hunt. There is more work to be done. This comes from Beverly on Facebook and needs to be done today!

Dr Myhill’s GMC hearing is scheduled for April 29th, can you (if not already) please send a letter of support to the GMC by end of day today.

** This hearing is NOT JUST ABOUT DR MYHILL, it is also about how the ME/CFS community has been systematically abused and medical profession by the Medical Establishment for decades **

DID YOU KNOW that the GMC DECLINED an invitation to speak on the education of medical students re M.E/CFS at the 5th Invest in M.E Conference 2010??

DID YOU KNOW The GMC do not appear to appreciate that for many sick patients Dr Myhill is their last port of call. Despite over 500 letters and 3,000 petition signatures and comments the GMC have still not got the message. Losing her license will mean that the GMC will be directly harming patients.

What YOU can do to help:-

Remember it only takes 5 minutes to send in an email, if suspended we face losing Dr Myhill for 18 MONTHS.

Dear Paul Bridge,

I understand that my/the doctor, Dr Sarah Myhill, is due to attend for a hearing to assess whether she should continue to retain her doctor’s license to practice. (Case Reference: PB/C1-314994282).

As I have benefited greatly from her treatments and advice, I should inform you that I object to this decision and consider it harmful to me as it will jeopardise my access to essential medical treatment and advice. Please would you draw my opinions to the attention of the panel at the hearing.

Dr Myhill has never advised me that I should use her website as a substitute for medical attention, and I have understood by reading her site that if I develop symptoms that concern me I must see a doctor or attend at A and E. This is clearly stated on the site. I regard her website in the same light as a really thorough and detailed self-help book. It has helped me a great deal. I see no reason why it should be considered in any way harmful.

I find Dr Myhill to be a dedicated and responsible doctor. I would be extremely upset if the GMC were to withdraw her license to practice.I would be very grateful if you continue to let her practice. If she is deprived of her licence to practice, there will be no-one else I can turn to who could offer me the same quality of treatment and advice. Please consider all of the risks involved in interrupting the treatment of patients such as myself who are so reliant on Dr Sarah Myhill. I will be writing to my MP if her license is withdrawn.

I am hoping that the panel will understand that it would be unethical to deprive such a good doctor as Dr Myhill of the opportunity to help patients such as myself, who cannot find this level of care and this depth of knowledge about our illnesses elsewhere.
