Acrostic Poem Submission, Using The Word: ILLNESS
I no longer sleep.
Long, restless, sweaty nights
Leaving me whimpering, tossing, checking clocks and turning
Never clear; the same relentless, stabbing thoughts; repeating and twisting; tangling and holding me hostage are bedsheets, anger and fear; and yet…
Ever hopeful; clawing, ripping, screaming, crying, writing, breathing, I no longer believe; desperate for any path to
Serenity; Freedom
Sacred peace. Just for some fucking sleep.

Keira brilliant poem I so relate to no sleep.
Keira,
Excellent poem. I know about the sleepless nights, for years I dealt it. It just drains your entire being if you aren’t getting good restorative sleep.
Amanda
