Los Angeles Local Dear Thyroid Meet-Up, And A Few More In Other Locations. Care To Host Or Join?
Katie Schwartz and Nicole Wells are hosting a Dear Thyroid Meet-up in Los Angeles on Sunday, July 25th. Your presence is requested! This meet-up is for all thyroid patients and their families, if families choose to come. We are so excited about this meeting. We have lots of members in the Los Angeles area, and we can all use offline support. Please see the DEAR THYROID CALENDAR for details!
If you are interested in hosting or participating in a LOCAL DEAR THYROID MEET-UP, in your area, please let us know:
- We will help you get it scheduled
- Connect you with patients in your area
- Calendar it on the official Dear Thyroid calendar
- We want to hear all about your wonderful experience and what it felt like to connect offline via a blog post
- If you want to take pictures, great. If not, that’s great, too. We want to hear all about your experience.
Online support is amazing. We’ve become a wonderfully close thyamily. As a result, we believe that offline support is of equal importance. In fact, we’ve had some fantastic local Dear Thyroid Meet-ups. <- You can read all about them by clicking that link.

Here’s the info we need, please:
- Name
- Email address
- Permission to extend your email address to others in your area
- If you’d like to host or participate
- All Local meet-ups must take place in a public venue (coffee shop or restaurant, etc.)

i would love to meet some of my thyfamily, i live in victorville,ca. however its about an hour maybe more away but i can do it no problem. i have my surgery on 7/13 and my bday on 7/22 so this would be a great thing. please fill me in with more info and ill let you know. thanks,

Would love to join a group for a meetup here in PA I am in west central area about 3hrs from Pittsburgh.

You may share my story as well which, if one googles me you can find my story that I wrote for the NATIONAL GRAVES DISEASE FOUNDATION, google picked it up and posted it. I wrote it for the foundation, it help me process how I felt, how people treated me when I was really ill…it does help to write about your illness…( google – barbara leigh has graves).
Please email me regarding your meeting and once we meet up would love to get more involved and help host future meetings, if I’m needed.
