Dear Thyroid is grateful to everyone who is helping raise awareness for thyroid cancer. Today, we continue to join together to raise awareness as we make a stop at Bea Young-Smith’s blog, Losing the Butterfly.

Bea was diagnosed with stage 3 papillary thyroid cancer earlier this year and is already on a mission to raise awareness. In her Bringing Sexy Out of the Thyloset post, Bea states that the “good cancer” stereotype makes it all the harder to raise awareness. She knows the importance of advocating not only for herself, but for other survivors as well. Please read Bea’s awareness post and lend your support in comments!
