Beyond what we do on our website and forums, Dear Thyroid is involved in other awareness oriented things and events, all related to community building, outreach, and bringing awareness to thyroid disorders and cancers. Dear Thyroid has participated in two “Patients for a Moment” blog carnivals. We’ve hosted a blog tour called “Thyoliday Blues and Truths”. We supported “Wings of Hope” in their endeavor to raise funds, and race for a cure for Thyroid Cancer. Recently, we launched another awareness campaign (blog tour/survivor roll call) in honor of thyroid cancer awareness month, in September 2010.
