My first acrostic poem:
A new outlook on my life seems to be called for
Because all that stuff I thought I could do and I thought was on track
Sort of isn’t any more
Or so it seems
Like my fabulous career, it seems
Unlikely really now to unfold as I had planned it
Try as I might to resist and deny the way I feel
Eventually maybe I will have to give in, accept my limitations
Look long and hard at what is still possible and settle for that
You appear to be beating me, my little malfunctioning thyroid, ok, you win, name your terms.
A little girl is sick all the time
Because no one knows.
She’s always exhausted & tired
Of always being called
LAZY, but even waking
Up can be difficult & sometimes hurt when
Thyroid glands don’t work
Enough & these diseases can turn into Cancer in
Later
Years.
A way to Deal with
Being in Pain is to
Sit & Breathe In &
Out
Loudly
Understanding
That
Even Cancer can’t cause a
Loss of
You
A Way to
Be
So
Others
Listen &
Understand,is to
Tell
Exactly what is Felt
Loving
Yourself
